A f*cking angst post post-Christmas.
I feel so hypocritical wishing everyone a merry Christmas while. Not to drag people in one of my depressive states but I’d have to say that Christmas sucked for me. By tradition, Pinoy Christmas is a family tradition. Heck, what family do I have left except for my sister (as far as blood relations go, though I would normally argue that I’m just a spore not from my known parents loins) and my friends? It sucks even more when your nearest blood relation would message you to pay up the debt that your dead mom owed them. Great timing. The Pinoy concept of family is so overrated.

Okay, after that brief rant, let me do something that I haven’t really done - do some commentary over a few things (just like what I really intended to do with this blog). A few things to be covered in this post - dollar woes and putting up businesses. Very, uhm, bourgeois. Hehe. Reality is, most of out concerns today are rooted in the concepts of buying power. Good thing it’s the holiday season again and that means we get a two-week break to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. Never mind if you’re agnostic (or an atheist) for that matter. A break is a break. But only if you do get some much needed respite. But for my case, it’s not.
I have tons of things to do over the break. The problogging gig had me writing for almost everyday of the year. While I’m not really required to write things on a weekend, I did make it a point to slip in a post or two. Workaholic I am perhaps but maybe it’s just my motivation to earn money. And lots of that, we can all could use.
So while everyone is so happy doing squat, I will be slaving over work. There’s still my blogging to work on and some academic stuff to finish. And here I was, wishing for just some sort of vacation. Not when I can’t really afford it.
Oh yes, staring at my bank account also prompted me to one important thing - must hide from my godsons and goddaughters. Hehe. Yeah, I am godfather to a few (unfortunate) kids.

To those who greeted me a happy birthday yesterday, thanks, guys! I really appreciate it.
I’ve had this history of having really sucky birthdays but friends would often do something to cheer me up just before the day ends. It really pays to have kick-ass friends. 
Anyway, to Team Sugoi and friends, might be great if you guys fast before Saturday. We’ll be feasting ’til we pop. I really don’t celebrate my birthday anyway but since this is the first birthday and I have some savings in the bank, let’s partey!
