This Senate probe on DPWH projects is a daily reminder how deep we are into the darkest timeline. But is there light at the end of the tunnel? Or will the timestream branch off into something better? I hope so.
The only thing that is preventing me from keeling over and accept doom is the hope for a decent future for the kid. A large part of what still drives me to wake up in the morning and put in the work is for her to have a fighting chance in a cruel world through whatever nepo baby perks we can afford for her eventually.
Anyway, funny how this guy Dizon is becoming “the face” all of a sudden. Ang daming poging-pogi sa kanya sa feeds ko despite him being visibly emaciated barely a month into the job. He does appear to be a nice change of pace from most appointees of this administration.
Maybe it’s the cynic in me. I always just skeptical of anyone who works for Bumbong. For starters, I don’t like how Dizon references the “pangulo” or “presidente” so much in his discourse. Makes him appear more like a lapdog than a statesman. But hey, if he does some net good, the best of luck to him.
If the president truly wants to end corruption, maybe it’s high time a certain family’s ill-gotten wealth be returned to the people. Buhayin ang PCGG. Otherwise, it’s all BS. “Mahiya naman kayo.” That’s rich coming from the OG nepo baby.
All these anti-corruption “bombshells,” as I see it, are part of the Unitae imploding, but still just the usual rigodon of the hegemon. Makes you wonder who the ultimate kingmaker is, pulling all the strings. (Is it still Ate Glo?)
There will be no true change unless these corrupt systems have been rooted out, impunity is vanquished, and fair and just institutions and systems are established. These entail subverting the oligarchy (the dynasties, capitalists, and lords) – something that the first EDSA failed to do.
Makes you think if the moral high ground and the path of hope are still worth taking or do we need our version of La Terreur?
All things considered, could things be truly be any worse? Oh yeah. Another Dootae presidency…
